Advantages:
Fraud protection
checks for common patterns and has the optional ability to block Internet
protocol (IP) addresses and credit card numbers. Virtual Link Point
also has the option to automatically perform numerous e-commerce fraud checks
in real time, allowing merchants to lock out specific credit card numbers and
IP addresses, and makes Address Verification Service (A.V.S.) information available
for approved transactions. Merchants can also create a "negative file" or high-risk consumers/card numbers. Use the "Verified by
Visa" or "MasterCard SecureCode", there is now a Pass/Fall
column in the Transaction report to further your awareness of suspect transactions.
Merchant reports and tools
provide complete e-commerce, up to the minute reporting. They allow merchants to specify search
and time criteria to generate reports summarizing all successful orders, listing all
transactions or showing all orders for a particular product. Allow some users to "View
reports", and restrict others. Merchants can also
perform management tasks from the merchant reports and tools interface, including
confirming shipment of hard goods and issuing credits.
Periodic Billing allows the billing of customers by credit card
type on any number of days or months. Use periodic billing to set up a
recurring credit card charge, for example, a monthly subscription. The
customer's credit card is automatically billed according to the
specifications you set. You can specify that the customer's credit card be
billed in daily, weekly, monthly, or in yearly increments for a set number
of installments. The entry is made one time and will
bill automatic up to 999 times.
